HONEYWELL ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF NEW HYDROBLOCK® AG2500 ANTI-GRAFFITI FILM

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J., Feb. 10, 2015 -- Honeywell (NYSE: HON) Healthcare and Packaging announced the availability of its new HydroBlock® AG2500 premium anti-graffiti film, part of its Flexible Packaging product line.

“HydroBlock AG2500 is an excellent chemical barrier that protects signs from the damaging effects of aggressive solvents in graffiti inks, markers, paints and adhesives and makes it easy to remove stickers and graffiti with commonly available cleaners,” said Perry Fan, global business manager for Honeywell Flexible Packaging. “We’re pleased to announce the availability of this new product that can help protect important signage throughout our cities and elsewhere.”

HydroBlock is based on Honeywell’s industry-leading fluoropolymer poly-chloro-trifluoroethylene (PCTFE) technology, which is a staple for industrial applications requiring barrier protection. HydroBlock AG2500 is a clear overlay film with pressure sensitive adhesive that offers superior graffiti and sticker removability with excellent clarity and moisture barrier properties, as well as chemical, stain and UV resistance.

HydroBlock’s thicker protective layer ‒  approximately 150% thicker than current alternatives ‒ eliminates the need for a premask, offering ease of film handling during lamination and speeding up the edge trimming process.  The release liner on the product includes ruler markings, making it easy to measure required lengths during processing.
